The 1157 bulb is a workhorse in older and current fleets: tail / brake, rear position / stop, and various signal functions. You get 450 lm on the high (brake) function and 100 lm on the low (tail) function, which means a crisp, instant-on brake light and a clearly visible running light that doesn’t glare.
