120 Watt 9 LED Driving Light with Dual Colour Position & Amber Warning Strobe – LG877
This 120 W 9 LED driving light with amber warning strobe is built for professional use where long-range light and clear signalling are non‑negotiable. The LG877 delivers a 960 m driving beam, dual‑colour (white/amber) position light and an ECE R65-approved amber strobe in one compact housing. It’s ECE R112 / R10 / R7 / R65 compliant, IP68 rated, and engineered for 12 V and 24 V commercial, utility and emergency vehicles.
The LG877 solves a common headache on modern fleets: too many separate lights on the front of the vehicle. Here you get a high-output driving beam, selectable white or amber position light, and a syncable amber warning strobe in a single, robust unit. That cuts installation time, wiring complexity and failure points, while giving drivers better visibility and other road users a clear, legal warning signal.
On the road, the performance is proven and measurable. The driving beam reaches 480 m @ 1 lux (usable driving light) and 960 m @ 0.25 lux, supported by TIR optics and 12 × 10 W Cree XM‑L2 LEDs delivering 9,600 lm actual output at 6500 K cold white. For more focused work, the spot function pushes light out to 574 m @ 1 lux and 1148 m @ 0.25 lux, ideal for high‑speed rural routes, forestry tracks, ports, site access roads and utility response vehicles operating in remote areas.
Electrically it’s designed for professional installations. The light runs on 9–36 V DC, drawing 7.7 A @ 12 V or 3.6 A @ 24 V, so it’s compatible with most commercial vehicles, 4x4s, plant and agricultural equipment. A 6‑pole DT connector with 2‑pin adapter simplifies integration with existing harnesses, while integrated EMC protection (ECE R10) ensures the lamp doesn’t interfere with radios, telematics or other sensitive onboard electronics.
The safety functions are where this unit stands out. The dual‑colour position light lets you choose white for on‑road presence or amber for support vehicles and slow‑moving plant. The integrated amber warning strobe offers 5 flash patterns, with 1 pattern approved to ECE R65, and can be synchronised across multiple lamps via the blue sync wire. That means clean, coordinated flash sequences across the front of a convoy or works vehicle, without a separate bank of beacons.
Mechanically, the LG877 is built to last in European weather. The pressure equalisation membrane protects seals against thermal cycling, and the IP68 rating means dust‑tight construction and submersion‑resistant sealing for heavy rain, wash‑downs and off‑road mud. At 218 × 234.5 × 68.5 mm and 1.9 kg, it’s compact enough for bull bars, roof racks and light bars, but substantial enough to handle vibration on trucks, tractors and construction machinery.
Installation is straightforward if you’re used to auxiliary lighting. The 650 mm cable and clear wire colour coding simplify integration with switch panels and control modules:
- Red – auxiliary light (+)
- Black – auxiliary / position light (− ground)
- Grey – white position light (+)
- Yellow – amber position light (+)
- Green – strobe light (+)
- Blue – strobe pattern switch / synchronisation
To synchronise strobe patterns on multiple LG877 units, you simply link the blue wires and momentarily connect them to positive for three seconds. All lamps then reset to the same flash frequency and pattern. No extra controller, no software.
