24 V Load Resistor Pair – LG1498
The LG1498 24 V load resistor pair is designed to eliminate LED indicator and lamp-out warnings on modern 24 V commercial vehicles. Each 50 W resistor simulates the load of a traditional filament bulb, so the vehicle's body control module sees a stable, expected current and the dash stays quiet. The pair is CE approved and built for commercial duty.
The LG1498 is a practical fix for CAN-bus and bulb-out error issues on trucks, buses, agricultural machinery and specialist 24 V vehicles upgrading to LED.
Why Load Resistors Are Needed
LED upgrades draw a fraction of the current of filament bulbs. Modern body control modules expect heavy current draw and interpret low draw as a failed bulb, triggering dash warnings, hyper-flash and failed inspections.
The LG1498 wires in parallel with the LED lamp, restoring the expected current and allowing indicators to flash at the correct rate.
Built for Commercial 24 V Systems
Each 50 W, 24 V resistor is designed for heavy vehicles and machinery running 24 V electrical systems. Once mounted to a metal surface for heat dissipation and wired correctly, the resistors deliver stable operation and long-term reliability.
Supplied as a Pair
The kit is supplied as two matched resistors, ideal for left and right indicator circuits or front and rear lamp positions. This makes the LG1498 a straightforward retrofit kit for typical indicator conversions.
Key Features
- Pair of 24 V load resistors.
- 50 W rating to replicate filament bulb current draw.
- Fixed resistance tuned to eliminate LED-related dash errors.
- Eliminates hyper-flash on indicator circuits.
- CE approved.
- Compact, robust construction for engine bay or bodywork mounting.
- Simple two-wire parallel connection.
- Supports LED retrofits without triggering CAN-bus errors.
Ideal Applications
- 24 V trucks and trailers upgrading to LED indicators or marker lamps.
- Buses and coaches with CAN-bus systems sensitive to low LED current draw.
- Agricultural tractors, sprayers and telehandlers running 24 V circuits.
- Construction and quarry plant where LEDs trigger fault codes.
- Specialist and municipal vehicles including gritters, refuse trucks and fire appliances.
Important Fitment Note
Resistors must be mounted to a metal surface for proper heat dissipation. Always wire in parallel with the LED lamp. For best results, install by a competent vehicle electrician.
